Artcare Matboards from Nielsen are actively protecting your pictures. They have archival quality, are acid-free, non-aging and suitable for valuable original artworks. The matboards are 2.6 mm thick and their cutting edge is white. Matboard is a key element in framing; it underlines the effect of the picture. A matboard leads the eye to the picture and protects your pictures from environmental influences.

The matboards are available in 9 different sizes and 2 different colours. You can combine them with nearly all wood or aluminium frames by Nielsen or order them separately.

Please note that the actual size of the cut-out of the matte is 1cm smaller than the stated picture format size. Thereby it is possible to fix the picture behind the matboard and it doesn’t drop out.
