EconoSpace - picture frame spacers

EconoSpace are rectangular acrylic picture frame spacers with a self-adhesive acrylic backing. They are ideal for creating object frames and shadow box frames. The spacers are applied directly to the edge of the picture frame glass, creating a clean air gap between the glazing and the artwork or object inside the frame. This airspace reliably protects sensitive artwork and documents from direct contact with the glass while enhancing the overall presentation. It helps reduce and prevent moisture build-up, mould growth, paper buckling, image transfer and adhesion to the glass.

The rectangular EconoSpace spacers are available in different heights and can easily be cut to size using sturdy scissors or a utility knife. For larger gaps, multiple spacers can simply be stacked to achieve the required spacing.

The spacers are made from neutral pH plastic and contain no plasticisers, making them suitable for high-quality framing and fine art applications. Thanks to their self-adhesive design, the spacers can be applied quickly and cleanly.

Application Notes

Please clean the glass thoroughly before applying the EconoSpace spacers to ensure maximum adhesive strength. Press the spacers down evenly during installation.

Please note that the height of the selected spacer increases the required rebate depth of the picture frame moulding.
